FAQ
Technical information about ONAGER Compute.
General
What does ONAGER Compute provide?
ONAGER Compute is a platform for booking compute capacity online: a GPU machine for a fixed period, for image or LLM inference.
Which machines can be booked?
During the beta, only ONAGER-owned machines can be booked: RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 3090; the Mac M5 cannot be booked yet (in preparation).
Which languages are available?
The interface supports German, English, Georgian and Russian. English is the default. Without a saved choice, the browser language selects German, Georgian or Russian; all others use English. Missing translations appear in English.
Booking
How do I book a machine?
Sign in with your tenant test account and book an available machine for 1 day (24 hours). Under “My GPU VMs” in your account, extend GPU VMs by 1 day at a time, up to 7 days in total. Existing hourly bookings retain their end time.
What do Available, Occupied and Not reachable mean?
Available: the machine is reachable and bookable. Occupied: the machine is booked or reserved. Not reachable: no report has arrived for more than two minutes. The display refreshes from the control service every 20 seconds.
Can I book the Mac M5?
Not yet. Booking the entire Mac M5 for Apple development is in preparation; the conditions are listed under Use Cases.
Can I use the Mac M5 for any purpose?
No. The intended purposes are limited to software development, source builds, automated testing, CI and the development tools they require, within the scope of Apple's macOS licence. No legal clearance is claimed.
What applies to Windows PCs and NVIDIA GeForce GPUs?
Windows desktops and Windows gaming are not offered. Commercial hosting with NVIDIA GeForce software is not automatically permitted; no completed licence review or clearance is claimed.
Providing capacity
How can providers offer compute capacity?
The provider software (Host-Agent) for Linux with NVIDIA is available to test accounts in Downloads. Admission of provider machines is prepared but disabled during the beta.
How does the provider software work?
The provider software (Host-Agent) runs without administrator rights and uses an outbound tunnel without an inbound port. It validates booking tokens online with ONAGER and exposes only the two inference templates. ComfyUI and Ollama are not passed through directly. The provider’s running ComfyUI jobs are not interrupted.
Payments and invoices
Which payment methods are available?
There are no payments or payment processing during the beta. Payment details are not collected.
Are invoices or credit notes issued?
No invoices or credit notes are issued during the beta.
What do the displayed daily prices mean?
The daily price is 24 times the hourly price set by the provider. Prices are non-binding reference values; no amounts, taxes or fees are charged during the beta.
Has tax treatment been established?
Tax treatment for any later regular operation is under review.
Who is the compute service counterparty?
ONAGER is the compute service counterparty for its own machines. For provider machines, ONAGER acts as intermediary and the provider is the counterparty.
Account and security
How do I obtain a test account?
ONAGER provides test accounts by invitation. Public registration is unavailable. A waiting list is available on the home page.
What do provider and tenant mean?
A tenant books compute capacity. A provider supplies a machine.
How are language and appearance saved?
With consent to preferences, language and appearance are saved persistently. Without that consent, the choice applies only to the current session.
Who handles requests about my data?
Send requests for access, correction or deletion to info@onager.ai. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
